The Sound of Music

This week, our Grade 4 students learned the words to "Do Re Mi" and enjoyed seeing Julie Andrew's performance in Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music.

Doe, a deer, a female deer,
Ray, a drop of golden sun,
Me, a name I call myself,
Far, a long, long way to run,
Sew, a needle pulling thread,
La, a note to follow sew,
Tea, a drink with jam and bread,
That will bring us back to doe, ( x 3)

When you know the notes to sing,
You can sing most anything,
